Chapter 8

The Eighth Day

The previous chapters have opened up a different perspective on the seven days of creation. The seven days are summarized as follows:

First Day -- the creation of knowledge and understanding of the ways of God;

Second Day -- the creation of a school where disciples (students) can acquire that which was provided on the first day;

Third Day -- the preparation of students to enter the school;

Fourth Day -- the creation of an administration and teachers for the school;

Fifth Day -- the creation of a background to test the students;

Sixth Day -- the mixing of the first five days to change a person into the image of God; and

Seventh Day --the day when the Christian enters the Lord's rest.

The reader was presented with a purpose for living and was made aware of an opportunity to receive an eternal life of peace and contentment. For those who choose to exercise this opportunity, the seven days of creation provide a pattern that allows one to successfully achieve the goal of eternal life.

The reader is encouraged to seek after the attributes of God, apply them, and in turn, offer these attributes and their respective rewards to others. One must remember that, knowledge of these attributes are found in Jesus Christ. It is through our Lord Jesus Christ that we are able to know God the Father. To grow in these attributes requires wisdom. Wisdom will come when the Holy Spirit of truth is allowed to enter and add understanding concerning God's ways. A proper balance of knowledge and understanding will create the wisdom that is needed in order to become a powerful member and servant within the body of Christ.

The eighth day is a day of a new beginning. It is a day in which a person should walk in newness of life. To the unbeliever, whose heart and mind is clouded by the surrounding darkness, I beg that you repent of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. The reward is beyond your imagination. Let the light shine brightly in your heart and mind. You have nothing to lose, and everything to gain. Don't reject it until you have at least tasted of its pleasures. Remember, the unbeliever does not die, for he never lived in order that he may die. He is among the walking dead. He who believes in the Son of God is alive, but is in danger of dying, for he is alive. Those who enter the gates of the great city and eat of the tree of life become indissoluble (i.e. eternal).

To the young in Christ, I caution you to walk carefully. For deception is reaching out from every dark place, to grab hold of what little you have. Do not forsake gathering together in a local church. The church is like a ship riding on the sea of nations. The Logos will serve as your guide and rudder. Rhema will provide the wind for your sails. Search for the ship that sails the seven seas of creation. It is this ship that will find the fountain of youth.

To those who have attained enough knowledge to make themselves dangerous, not only to themselves, but to others as well, I implore that you give careful consideration to what has been written. Study the Scriptures. Weigh all matters fairly. Let the Holy Spirit lead you in the way of righteousness.

To the old men in Christ, I respectfully submit to you in all humbleness. However, I urge you to keep an eye on the cloud, for when the cloud moves, one should be prepared to weigh anchor and follow it.

"Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen." (Heb. 13:20,21)
