Who We Are:

ReConnections of California is a group of adoptees, birthparents, adoptive parents, and genealogists dedicated to helping others to search and find their birth families. We are all volunteers who give hours of our time and expertise in the area of adoption searches. We specialize in California searches, but, we also have first hand knowledge of searching in many other states.

An information packet is available on request that contains:

An ISRR form to be sent to International Soundex Reunion Registry in Carson City Nevada along with a donation. (See the form)
A Waiver of Confidentiality for the State of California that should be sent to the agency that handled the adoption along with a letter requesting non-identifying information.
A Consent for Contact form for the State of California that should be sent to the agency that handled your adoption.
A sample letter to request non-identifying information from the adoption agency
A ReConnections search form to be completed and returned to the searcher assigned to your case along with any copies of non-identifying information, or ANY information you have concerning your search.
An Adoption Related booklist.
A sample letter of a suggested format for an initial phone call (first contact).
